New School Governor Needed

Would anyone be interest in being the Church Governor at Holy Trinity Primary School? After many years Ian Thompson has reached the end of his tenure and we need to find a replacement.

Volunteering Opportunities - Mums & Tots

We need to support Mums and Tots by serving and clearing away their refreshments on Wednesdays. Hot drinks for the parents at about 10.30 and at 11.00 cold drinks/bikkies/fruit and veg. for the children.
We have nearly filled the rota to Christmas - a few slots remain if you can help - please.

New Service on the Way

At our extra meeting of the Parochial Church Council held recently it was decided that we would introduce a non-eucharistic service at 10.00am on the Second and Fifth Sundays of the month. The style of service will be appropriate to families with children, those new to the Christian faith and to being part of a church.
It is likely that the first service will be in January because there are many things that need to be explored, decisions taken and resources organised; let alone advertising, letters and invitations!
Perhaps the most important thing is for members of our existing congregation to share in this service so that newcomers experience the warm Hildeburgian welcome.
Would anyone interested in being part of a working party to explore the various issues raised by this idea offer their services to our Vicar Martin - thank you.

Club Zero : A Youth Club for our Church Centre

Club Zero - a New Youth Club for our Church Centre begins on Friday 7 October 2011

Club Zero is a new form of Youth Club for young people, serving the Wirral
community and beyond. Based on strong discipline and leadership, Club Zero is
a Youth Club for 11 - 16 year olds, open initially on Friday evenings from
7.00 - 9.30pm.

Club Zero will have a very strict policy of zero tolerance on matters of
behaviour including drink and drug aspects. Any breech of club policy will result
in the member being disciplined inline with the code of conduct for members.
Club Zero is a members’ club has only one restriction apart from age and that
is indiscipline will result in that member being asked to leave the premises.
The main feature will be music - provided at each centre by a DJ and disco unit
with lighting facilities. Other features will include computer and console games
such as Wii, PlayStation and Xbox with strict management over amount of time
spent with these items. Initially it will be organised by centre staff and the
members will be encouraged to organise such things themselves. The centre will
be supported with a Cafe Bar, again where members will be encouraged to ‘get
involved’ with the running of the facility. General chat areas will be available to
support the activities and Club Zero will be open for members suggestions on
how the club should be taken forward.

For more information, see the Club Zero website:
